MIG, a CXC chemokine, is produced by IFN-gamma stimulated monocytes, macrophages and endothelial cells. It signals through the CXCR3 receptor. MIG selectively chemoattracts Th1 lymphocytes, and also exerts other activities, including inhibition of tumor growth, angiogenesis, and inhibition of colony formation of hematopoietic progenitors. Human MIG is active on murine cells. Recombinant human MIG is an 11.7kD protein containing 103 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CXC chemokines. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human MIG, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~11.7kD (103aa) Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood T-Lymphocytes using a concentration range of 10-100ng/ml Amino Acid Sequence: TPVVRKGRCS CISTNQGTIH LQSLKDLKQF APSPSCEKIE IIATLKNGVQ TCLNPDSADV KELIKKWEKQ VSQKKKQKNG KKHQKKKVLK VRKSQRSRQK KTT Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
