Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) is an EBV antigen that is expressed in all EBV associated malignancies. EBNA1 is known to be required for maintenance of the EBV episome, and is expressed in all forms of EBV latency. Thus, EBNA1 is supposed to play a central role in the maintenance and segregation of the episomal latent EBV genome. Recombinant protein corresponding to ORF of the BKRF1 gene of EBV, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~63kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
