ANTXR2, also known as anthrax toxin receptor 2, is a widely expressed anthrax toxin receptor family protein. The main functional domain of this protein is an extracellular integrinlike von Willebrand factor type A (VWA) domain with a metal ion dependent adhesion site, through which it adheres selectively to collagen type IV and laminin. This protein and the related protein ATR/TEM8 serve as receptors for the protective antigen of Bacillus anthracis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa32-318 from mouse ANTXR2, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~31.9kD (295aa) 28-40KD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
