TNFRSF14, as known as tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 14 isoform 1, is a type 1 membrane protein belonging to the TNF/NGF receptor superfamily. Expression of this protein has been detected in peripheral blood T cells, B cells, monocytes and in various tissue enriched in lymphoid cells. Binding of herpes simplex virus (HSV) viral envelope glycoprotein D to this receptor protein has been shown to be part of HSV entry mechanism, and from which its name derived. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
