Sulfadimidine (SM2) is synthetic antibacterial and plays an important role in controlling and treatment livestock and poultry diseases. Sulfadimidine (SM2) has become a threat for human health and affected the export of animal derived food due to Sulfadimidine (SM2) residues for abuse, not abiding by withdrawal time, entering into the body and ecological system by food chain. Sulfadimidine (SM2) residue limit is 100mg/kg according to No.235 document of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Peoples Republic of China. This BioAssay(TM) kit is a detection product developed based on ELISA technology, with operation time as short as 50 minutes. Sample Type: Urine, tissue, milk Intended Use: This BioAssay(TM) kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of Sulfadimidine (SM2) concentrations in urine, milk, tissue (chicken, porcine, liver). Sensitivity: 1ppb Range: 1-81ppb Precision: Intra-assay: CV%<10% Inter-assay: CV%<10% Test Principle: This BioAssay(TM) employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this BioAssay(TM) kit has been pre-coated with Sulfadimidine (SM2) antigen. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Sulfadimidine (SM2) specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated anti-antibody. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between pre-coated Sulfadimidine (SM2) and Sulfadimidine (SM2) in standards or samples with the Sulfadimidine (SM2) special antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of Sulfadimidine (SM2) in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
