KLRB1, also known as killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily B member 1, is classified as a type II membrane protein because it has an external C-terminal. It is expressed by NK cells and may be involved in the regulation of NK cell function. It plays a novel and important role in B cell maturation within the GC in humans. It is expressed by lymphocytes found in human gut and liver, as well as blood, especially natural killer (NK) cells, T helper 17 (Th17) cells, and a population of unconventional T cells known as mucosal-associated invariant T (MAIT) cells. It is also expressed, at intermediate levels, on a prominent subset of polyclonal CD8+ T cells, including antiviral populations that display a memory phenotype. Recombinant human KLRB1, fused to hIgG-His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
