Also used in veterinary medicine as a topical antipruritic and antiseptic (has been used as intestinal antiseptic). Also, it is a derivative of 2,7-Dichloro-4,5-bis(1,3,2-dithiarsolan-2-yl)-3,6-dihydroxy-9H-xanthen-9-one (D432325), which can be used for the synthesis of new biarsenical ligands and tetracysteine motifs for protein labeling in vitro and in vivo.
