Bay-X-1005 is a potent inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase activating protein (FLAP). It inhibits the production of leukotriene B4 in A23187-stimulated leukocytesd LTB4 with an IC50 value of 220 nM, and blocks IgE mediated airway contractions. It has also anti-inflammatory activity.
