Des[2-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)] 2-Cyanolosartan carboxaldehyde is also used as reagent to synthesize Losartan Potassium (L470500), a an angiotensin II antagonist and is commonly used to significantly reduce risk of new onset atrial fibrillation and associated stroke in high-risk patients.
