| Baiap2 is an adapter protein that links membrane-bound small G-proteins to cytoplasmic effector proteins. Baiap2 is necessary for CDC42-mediated reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and for RAC1-mediated membrane ruffling. Baiap2 is involved in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton by WASF family members and the Arp2/3 complex.Baiap2 plays a role in neurite growth. Baiap2 acts syngeristically with ENAH to promote filipodia formation. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
