| BPGM belongs to the phosphoglycerate mutase family, BPG-dependent PGAM subfamily. It plays a major role in regulating hemoglobin oxygen affinity as a consequence of controlling 2,3-BPG concentration. It can also catalyze the reaction of EC 5.4.2.1 (mutase) and EC 3.1.3.13 (phosphatase), but with a reduced activity. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. |
