Produktbeschreibung

CD40, also known as TNFRSF5, is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. It transduces TRAF6- and MAP3K8-mediated signals that activate ERK in macrophages and B cells, leading to induction of immunoglubiln secretion. CD40 is a receptor on antigen-presenting cells of the immune system and is essential for mediating a broad variety of immune and inflammatory responses including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation. CD40 molecule is a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. There are number of completed and ongoing clinical trials where agonistic anti-CD40 monoclonal antibodies are employed to activate an anti-tumor T cell response via activation of dendritic cells. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa21-193 from human TNFRSF5, fused to hIgG-His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in HEK293 cells.
