This recombinant human adenovirus type 5 expresses enhanced cyan fluorescent protein under the control of a CMV promoter. Recombinant eCFP adenovirus serves as a control for other recombinant adenoviruses. Since CFP is easily visualized under fluorescence microscopy, this adenovirus can also be used to determine the transduction efficiency and to optimize viral infection condition in a specific cell type. Viral Backbone: Human Adenovirus Type5 (dE1/E3) Promoter: CMV (ubiquitous) Reporter: eCFPS Storage Buffer: DMEM, 2% BSA, 2.5% glycerol Titer: 1x10e10 PFU/ml Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
