The Cortisol High Sensitivity BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit (General) utilizes the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of estradiol in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Sensitivity: 4.65pg/ml Range: 12.35-1000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Instant Estradiol (E2). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Instant Estradiol (E2) and analogues was observed. Precision: Intra-Assay: CV<10% Inter-Assay: CV<12% Test Principle: A monoclonal antibody specific to estradiol has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled estradiol and unlabeled estradiol (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to estradiol. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of estradiol in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of estradiol in the sample. Stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
