Cathepsin X/Z/P, also known as cathepsin Z/X, is a relatively new cysteine protease of the papain family. Compared to other members of the papain family, It has a short proregion and unique insertions. Acting as a carboxypeptidase, It displays a unique specificity. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa23-306 from mouse Cathepsin X/Z/P fused to His-Tag at C-terminal expressed in Baculovirus. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
