CCL21, also known as C-C motif chemokine 21a, is a member of homeostatic chemokine. It plays an important role in adaptive immune responses and inflammation. This protein Inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. It is involved in signaling through CXCR3. This protein is upregulated on local vascular endothelial cells, macrophages, T cells, and neurons during chronic inflammation or tissue damage. Deficient of fhis protein was impaired in the medullary deletion of self-reactive thymocytes and developed autoimmune dacryoadenitis and T cell accumulation in the lymph nodes was also defective. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa24-133 from mouse CCL21/6Ckine fused to His-tag at C-terminal, expressed in Baculovirus..
