The spike protein (S) of coronavirus (CoV) attaches the virus to its cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2). A defined receptor-binding domain (RBD) on S mediates this interaction. The S protein plays key parts in the induction of neutralizing-antibody and T-cell responses, as well as protective immunity. Recombinant protein corresponding to Val11-Gln1208 from 2019-nCoV S1+S2 ECD (S-ECD), fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in HEK293 cells. Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Recombinant 2019-nCoV Spike S1+S2 ECD-His at 2ug/ml (100ul/well) can bind Recombinant Human ACE2 with a linear range of 1.5-115.4ng/ml. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
