CTLA4, also known as cytotoxic T-lymphocyte protein 4 isoform CTLA4-TM, is a type I transmembrane T cell inhibitory molecule that is a member of the Ig superfamily. The affinity of CTLA4 for its natural B7 family ligands, CD80 and CD86, is considerably stronger than the affinity of their cognate stimulatory coreceptor CD28. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa36-162 from human CTLA4, fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1, expressed in HEK293 cells. Molecular Weight: ~40.3kD Applications: Suitable for use in the study of protein binding and screening small molecules. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
