InVitrias Cellastim S recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA) is completely animal- and blood-free and is optimized to enhance the performance in cell culture media due to the favorable lipid profile. Cellastim S is compatible with a variety of different cell types including immune cells, VERO, MSC, HEK, CHO, etc. Cellastim S has the identical amino acid sequence as the major HSA isoform found in human serum. rHSA is lipid-enhanced (1.4% by weight) for excellent, consistent growth and directed differentiation of a wide variety of human cell types, including T-Lymphocytes, HEK293, hybridoma/NS0, CHO, fibroblasts, mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells, and virus production in VERO/MDCK cell culture. Every lot is tested with multiple T lymphocyte donors to ensure consistency and performance. The optimum concentration of albumin for cell culture applications varies with the type of cell and the composition of the medium. Albumin is typically used at concentrations of 0.5 to 2g/L in media formulations.
