TNF alpha is produced by activated macrophages, monocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblast and both T and B lymphocytes. TNF alpha functions in the regulation of immune cells, is able to induce fever, apoptotic cell death, sepsis, cacheria, inflammation and to inhibit tumorigenesis and viral replication. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa165-321 from feline TNF alpha, expressed in Pichia pastoris Molecular Weight: ~17.2kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 0.1% carrier protein. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
