Synthetic peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids of the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) 3CL-Pro (NSP5) protein.
Alternative Synonym:
covid-19, sars-cov-2
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), formerly known as 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease, is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a virus closely related to the SARS virus (1). The disease is the cause of the 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak (2). The structure of 2019-nCoV consists of the following: a spike protein (S), hemagglutinin-esterease dimer (HE), a membrane glycoprotein (M), an envelope protein (E) a nucleoclapid protein (N) and RNA. 3C- like proteinase (NSP5) cleaves the C-terminal of replicase polyprotein at 11 sites (3,4,5). It recognizes substrates containing the core sequence [ILMVF]-Q-|-[SGACN]. It also able to bind an ADP-ribose-1-phosphate (ADRP) (5). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
