Plays an important role in bone formation and normal bone mineralization. Promotes the differentiation of myoblasts into osteoblasts. May induce the commitment and differentiation of myoblasts into osteoblasts through an enhancement of BMP2 production and interaction with the BMP-RUNX2 pathway. Upregulates the expression of ATF4, a transcription factor which plays a central role in osteoblast differentiation. Essential for normal spermatogenesis and late testicular differentiation. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa26-96 from human Transmembrane protein 119, fused to hFc-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in Mammalian cell. Molecular Weight: ~36.3kD Amino Acid Sequence: RSVPLKATFLEDVAGSGEAEGSSASSPSLPPPWTPALSPTSMGPQPITLGGPSPPTNFLDGIVDFFRQYVM Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
