Produktbeschreibung

PKCepsilon is a member of the protein kinase C (PKC) family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. PKCepsilon is involved in many different cellular functions, such as neuron channel activation, cardioprotection from ischemia (1), heat shock response, as well as insulin exocytosis. Knockout studies in mice suggest that this kinase is important for lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-mediated signaling in activated macrophages and may control anxiety-like behavior (2). Recombinant protein corresponding to human PKCepsilon (PKCepsilon), full length, fused to GST-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in Sf9 insect cells via a baculovirus expression system. Molecular Weight: ~110kD Applications: Suitable for use in the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
