3-Deoxy-6-hydroxyfunicone is a gamma-pyrone metabolite isolated from an endophytic Penicillium sp. isolated from the liverwort Riccardia multifida by Lou and coworkers from Shandong University, China, in 2013. 3-Deoxy-6-hydroxyfunicone significantly retards germination of Arabidopsis thaliana seeds.
