Tetrahydrophoenicin is the fully reduced dihydroquinone of the microbial natural product phoenicin. Tetrahydrophoenicin is an intermediate in the synthesis of phoenicin and oosporein published by Love and colleagues, East Carolina University and Phycomyco Research Corp., Greenville, USA. Due to lack of availability, there are no published references on the biological activity of tetrahydrophoenicin.
