Tetrahydroisophoenicin is the fully reduced dihydroquinone of isophoenicin, the synthetic by-product of the microbial natural product phoenicin. Tetrahydroisophoenicin is an intermediate in the synthesis of phoenicin and oosporein published by Love and colleagues, East Carolina University and Phycomyco Research Corp., Greenville, USA. Due to lack of availability, there are no published references on the biological activity of tetrahydroisophoenicin.
