Aureoquinone is a monomeric naphthoquinone originally isolated from the fruiting body of Crepidotus sp. by Berg and colleagues at Hans-Knöll Institute for Natural Products Research, Germany in 2000. Aureoquinone significantly inhibits the adhesion of Candida albicans to both epithelial and endothelial cells in a dose dependent manner and also reduces the release of secreted aspartic proteinase. Aurequinone shares a biosynthetic link with the talcarpones. Source: Talaromyces sp. CAS No: 321658-21-3 Molecular Formula: C12H10O6 Molecular Weight: 250.2 Appearance: Red solid Solubility: Methanol, DMSO. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with methanol or DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
