Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide made to an internal region of human ABCG1 (between residues 300-400).
ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter genes are involved in the regulation of the amount of dietary cholesterol retained in the body. The ABC transporter ABCG1 (ABC8) is expressed on the cell surface and in intracellular compartments of cholesterol-laden macrophages and is induced in monocyte-derived macrophages during cholesterol influx mediated by acetylated low-density lipoprotein. In contrast, lipid efflux in cholesterol-laden macrophages, mediated by the cholesterol acceptor HDL(3), suppresses the expression of ABCG1. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Not recommended for Immunoprecipitation.. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: Mouse peritoneal macrophages treated with 22-R-hydroxycholesterol and T0901317 (stimulating ABCG1 expression). Recognizes a band at ~75.6 kD Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Reinheit:
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Formulierung:
Supplied as a liquid. Labeled with biotin. No preservative added.
