Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Acrp30 purified from E. coli.
Adiponectin, (also known as Acrp30) is a 244 amino acid major adipokine secreted into the bloodstream from adipose tissue to modulate metabolism, including glucose regulation and fatty acid catabolism. Unlike most other adipokines, adiponectin is secreted exclusively by differentiating adipocytes at reduced levels during obesity. The serum level of adiponectin is inversely correlated with BMI (body mass index) of an individual, and has an anti-inflammatory action, playing an important role in type II diabetes (insulin sensitivity) and atherosclerosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
