Apolipoproteins which are present in human plasma transport circulating lipids throughout the body. Abnormal concentrations of these proteins in the blood have been correlated with atherosclerotic disorders including coronary heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. Approximately 50% of the HDL particle is protein, 70% Apo AI and 20% Apo AII. LDL contains approximately 20% protein, 95% of which is Apo B100. Apo Cs, Apo B and Apo E are found in VLDL particles, accounting for approximately 10% of this particle. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA or for antigen applications in immunological protocols. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
