ARSG is a member of the aryl sulfatase family of enzymes with a high degree of amino acid sequence similarity to ARSA and ARSB. ARSG mRNA is expressed in a ubiquitous manner, being detected in most adult and embryonic tissues of the mouse (1). Recombinant protein corresponding to Gly17-Val525 from mouse Arylsulfatase G, fused to C-terminal 10-His-Tag, expressed in CHO cells. Biological Activity: Measured by its ability to hydrolyze the substrate 4-Nitrocatechol Sulfate (PNCS). The specific activity is > 1,500 pmol/min/ug, as measured under the described conditions. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
