BLVRA, also known as biliverdin reductase A, belongs to the gfo/idh/mocA family. This protein is an enzyme that converts biliverdin to bilirubin, converting a double-bond between the second and third pyrrole ring into a single-bond.( Bilirubin + NAD(P)+ = biliverdin + NAD(P)H ) Recombinant BLVRA protein , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
