CD21 is a 145kD cell surface glycoprotein expressed by mature B lymphocytes, follicular dendritic cells, subsets of normal thymocytes and subsets of T cells. The CD21 molecule acts as a receptor for CD23, for complement components C3d, C3dg and iC3b and for Epstein Barr Virus. CD21 is part of the signalling complex that is linked to CD19, CD81 and phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry (Not Tested). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry (Not Tested): 1:50-1:200, 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
