Human CD49d molecules are integrin alpha 4 chains that are expressed as heterodimers with CD29 (beta1 integrin) or (beta 7 integrin) and function as adhesion receptors. CD49d/CD29 is mainly expressed on thymocytes and B cells with increased expression on activated T cells. The ligands for CD49d/CD29 include VCAM-1 and fibronectin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Fixed cells or tissues Flow Cytometry: 5x10e5 cells were washed incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of anti-CD49d antibody diluted to 5ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with Goat anti-Mouse IgG/FITC, after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.52 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
