CD49d (VLA-4) inhibits adhesion of rat lymphocytes to cytokine-activated endothelial cells. It blocks binding of rat lymphocytes to purified VCAM-1 and to the CS-1 peptide of fibronectin. VLA-4 is a leukocyte integrin which plays an important role in lymphocyte adhesion and activation. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): Overnight incubation with C2404-46G2 and acetone fixation for frozen sections is recommended. Not suitable for use with paraffin sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: SP2.0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice Positive Control for Immunohistochemistry: Human tonsil Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
