CD49f is composed of two disulfide-linked subunits: an extracellular large subunit with Mr 125kD and a smaller transmembrane subunit with Mr 25kD. CD49f forms non-covalent associations with CD29 (b1) and CD104 (b4), forming a6b1 (VLA-6) and a6b4, respectively. The a6b1and a6b4 complexes serve as receptors for laminins, invasin, and merosin. CD49f is expressed by platelets, megakaryocytes, monocytes, T lymphocytes, thymocytes, endothelial cells, epithelial cells, and other cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Neat. Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: SP2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Negative Control: I1904-79D: IgG1 Murine Negative Control (PE) Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
