| The involvement of integrins in vascular proliferation, adhesion, and wound repair has been well-documented. The integrin family of cell adhesion receptors consists of at least 16 membrane-associated heterodimers, composed of an alpha and beta subunit that associate in a non-covalent manner. The structure and functional diversity of the integrin family are based upon the pairing abilities of the individual alpha and beta subunits. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, ELISA and RIA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Acetone and alcohol fixatives. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Biological Activity: Inhibits CS-1 and VCAM binding. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. |
