Human CD53 is a tetraspan cell surface glycoprotein found on all hemopoetic cells except platelets and red blood cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:50 (10ug/ml) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured human Jurkat/tube were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ml of C2408-21C at a 1:50 dilution (10mg/ml). 2. Cells were washed three times, fixed and analyzed using a BD FACS Calibur. 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.78 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG2b/FITC negative control at a similar concentration. 4. Binding was 96% blocked when pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml of C2408-21A. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
