Human CD53 is a tetraspan cell surface glycoprotein found on all hemopoetic cells except platelets and red blood cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:50 (10ug/ml) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. 5x10e5 cultured human Jurkat cells per tube were incubated 45 min on ice with 80ul of C2408-21D at 10ug/ml. 3. Washed cells three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. 4. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.55 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a mouse IgG2b/R-PE negative control at a similar concentration. 5. Binding was blocked when cells were preincubated 10 minutes with 20ul of C2408-21A at 0.5mgml. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
