Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse CD80 expressed in E. coli.
CD80, also known as BB1/B7-1, is a 60kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is expressed on activated B cells, T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. It is a ligand of the two T cell costimulatory molecules, CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). The interaction of CD80 (or CD86) with CD28 provides a costimulatory signal for T cells activated through the CD3/TCR complex. Applications: ELISA: To detect mB-71 by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of at least 0.5ug/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant mB-71. Western Blot: To detect mB-71 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant mB-71 is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
