Recombinant protein corresponding to Asp75-Glu501 of human Clusterin expressed in NS0 cells (NP_001822). Species sequence homology: chimpanzee (98%), canine (79%), rat (77%), mouse (76%), chicken (48%).
Clusterin, also known as apolipoprotein J and sulfated glycoprotein 2, is a multifunctional secreted protein that is widely expressed in tissues. The amino acid sequence of human Clusterin is 98%, 79%, 77%, 76% and 48% identical to that of chimpanzee, canine, rat, mouse and chicken. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Detection ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Clusterin. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
