Goat IgG, Preimmune Control, prepared against purified recombinant human P450 1A2, is intended for inhibition studies of P450 1A1/1A2 function using the reconstituted recombinant enzyme or intact human microsomal preparations. Very high inhibition is achieved using recombinant P450 1A2. The observed level of inhibition of P450 1A2 in microsomal preparations is dependent on the specificity of a given substrate for metabolism by P450 1A2, and the relative levels of additional enzymes that may metabolize the test substrate. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and as a negative control in inhibition studies. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
