I.U.B.: 3.4.24.28 A metallo, neutral protease exhibits mild proteolytic action that makes the enzyme especially suitable for the preparation of primary and secondary (subcultivation) cell culture. This protease is also used as a secondary enzyme in cell isolation and tissue dissociation applications. Unit Definition: One Unit releases Folin positive amino acids equivalent to 1umole tyrosine per minute from casein at 37C, pH 7.5. Specific Activity: 4 units per mg dry weight Protein: As Reported Units/mg Protein: As Reported Caseinase: As Reported Absorbance A280: As Reported Endotoxin: As Reported Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
