Control Peptide for D9300-61. Apoptosis is induced by certain cytokines including TNF and Fas ligand of the TNF family through their death domain-containing receptors, TNF-R1 and Fas. Several novel death receptors including DR3, DR4, and DR5 were recently identified. A new death domain containing receptor in the TNFR family was cloned recently and termed DR6 for death receptor-6 (1). Like TNF-R1, DR6 interacts with death domain-containing adapter molecule TRADD. Overexpression of DR6 induces apoptosis and activates NF-kB and JNK. DR6 is widely expressed in human tissues and cell lines (1). The ligand for DR6 has not been identified. Source: Synthetic peptide corresponding to 15aa from the N-terminal of human DR6 precursor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
