MaxLight(TM) 490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight(TM)488, Alexa Fluor(TM)488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm), Emission (515nm), Extinction Coefficient 73,000. Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever, is a severe, often fatal illness in humans. EVD outbreaks occur primarily in remote villages in Central and West Africa, near tropical rainforests where humans come into contact with dead infected animals such as fruit bats, monkeys and antelope. The virus can then spread from human to human. According to WHO, EVD outbreaks have a case fatality rate of up to 90%. Ebola first appeared in 1976 in 2 simultaneous outbreaks, one in Nzara, Sudan, and the secondin Yambuku, Democratic Republic of Congo, in a village situated near the Ebola River. This is where thedisease takes its name. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot, and Immunoassays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
