FKBP1B is a member of the immunophilin protein family, which play a role in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes involving protein folding and trafficking. This protein is a cis-trans prolyl isomerase that binds the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin. The protein is highly similar to the FK506-binding protein 1A. Its physiological role is thought to be in excitation-contraction coupling in cardiac muscle. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50 Western Blot: 1:1,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
