Protein is produced in recombinant yeast cells. Covers Met5 to Tyr138 of the HIV-1 gag protein (SF-2 isolate). The p17 protein is from M5 to Y138 of the gag region of the SF2 isolate of HIV1. The apparent MW is 14.9kD. Applications: Suitable for use as an antigen in immunological protocols. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
