Synthetic peptide corresponding to 19aa at the C-terminal from human chondrocyte nitric oxide synthase.
Nitric oxide (NO), a diffusible free radical gas, acts as a neurotransmitter in brain and peripheral nervous system. It accounts for the activity of endothelium-derived relaxing factors, which stimulate vasodilatation by releasing NO from the endothelium. Unlike typical neurotransmitter, NO is a not stored in synaptic vesicle and does not act on membrane receptors. Synthesis of NO, initially demonstrated in vascular endothelium, is now found in many tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot (ECL): 1:1000-1:2500 Immunohistochemistry (ABC): 1:2500-1:6000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
