Influenza B/Lee/40 and B/Singapore/-222/79 viruses
MaxLight(TM)650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor(TM)647, DyLight(TM)649, Cy5(TM) and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm), Emission (676nm), Extinction Coefficient 250,000. The influenza viruses, classified as type A, B and C, are members of the Orthomyxoviridae family which differ in their epidemiology and host ranges and lack serological cross-reactivity of their internal components, especially their matrix proteins and nucleoprotein. Influenza B virus is a slow-mutating single stranded RNA virus subject to antigenic drift which, although enough to prevent lasting immunity, prevents influenza B from causing pandemics. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the P3 Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cell line. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)650 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
