Interferon-alpha is cytokines that are widely known to induce potent anti-viral activity . Interferon-alpha exerts a variety of other biological effects, including anti-tumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases. Recombinant human Interferon-alpha was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.
